Welcoming Baby Emelia
Being a newborn baby photographer is the best job in the world! There is something so special about welcoming a new baby into the world, and capturing those fleeting newborn moments is always an honor. Recently, I had the joy of photographing sweet baby Emelia in my natural light studio when she was just three weeks old. From the moment her parents stepped into the studio, I could feel the love they have for their beautiful baby girl, and I knew this session would be one to remember.
Preparing for Emelia’s Photoshoot
For Emelia’s newborn session, mom selected a pink knit romper and a soft, speckled wrap, both chosen from my carefully curated client closet. Emelia looked absolutely adorable, her tiny fingers peeking out as she rested peacefully. Her mom, glowing with love and tenderness, wore a long, flowy ivory dress—another beautiful selection from the client closet. The combination of these light, neutral tones created a soft, timeless aesthetic that complemented the natural light pouring into the studio.
A Soft & Timeless Newborn Session
I always aim to create a relaxed, comfortable experience for my families, allowing them to simply soak in the beauty of their baby without the pressure of stiff posing or props. My natural light studio provides the perfect setting for capturing these organic, heartfelt moments. We focused on the simple, authentic moments—the way Emelia snuggled up against her mother’s arms, the sweet little sleepy smile, and the loving gazes as her parents looked at her with adoration. These are the details that parents will cherish forever, long after their tiny newborn has grown.
Baby Emelia’s session was a beautiful reminder of why I love newborn photography. Preserving these fleeting moments of love, connection, and new beginnings is truly a gift.
