Stella’s 1st Birthday Photoshoot: A Joyful Celebration
There’s something magical about 1st birthday photography—the excitement, the constant desire to move to explore, and, of course, the cake! Sweet Stella recently celebrated her big day with a beautiful photoshoot in my natural light studio, and it was nothing short of perfection.
Stella was all smiles from the start, her curious little hands eager to explore every corner of the studio. She giggled as she toddled around, soaking in the warmth of the soft, natural light streaming in. These candid moments are some of my favorites—pure joy, curiosity, and those fleeting expressions that change so quickly at this age.
Of course, no milestone session is complete without family snuggles. Stella was joined by her loving mom, dad, and her adoring big sister, Luna. The bond between these four is something special. Luna was the sweetest big sister, wrapping Stella in gentle hugs and making her giggle with silly little games. Mom and Dad showered their birthday girl with kisses, filling the session with so much love.

And then came the grand finale—Stella’s cake smash! At first, she was a little hesitant, but her big sister Luna was there to help her taste the icing, and that was the encouragement she needed to embrace her big, messy moment. Life is just better when you’ve got your sister there to try new experiences together!
As I look back at this session, I’m reminded why I love documenting these milestones. They’re a celebration of growth, love, and all the little moments that make childhood so beautiful. Happy 1st birthday, Stella! It was such a joy to capture your big day!
