The excitement. The love. The glow of an expecting mother. There's nothing else quite like the moments you share as you stand on the cusp of a new chapter in your life together as a family. Maternity photoshoots are scheduled by appointment and take place either at an outdoor location or in my natural light studio. We're lucky there are so many beautiful parks, farms, gardens, and historical sites in and around the Pottstown area, and I'm happy to make location suggestions based on where you live and the kinds of settings you love. A maternity photoshoot can be bundled with a newborn photoshoot for a discounted price.
A maternity photoshoot is 45 minutes and includes 20 custom-edited photos delivered in both color and black & white.

We’ll move around quite a bit in pursuit of beautiful light and sweet little moments as you celebrate this exciting new chapter in your family's story. how far along should I be for my maternity photos?
I typically schedule maternity photos between 28-34 weeks. This timing allows us to capture your beautiful baby belly and also gives us a bit of wiggle room in case the baby arrives a little earlier than the due date so you don't miss out on this once in a lifetime opportunity. For reference, the Featured Family Maternity Session (with the mom in the burgandy dress) was shot on the earlier side around 28 weeks. And the Featured Maternity Session (with the mom in the white dress) was shot right around 34 weeks. These featured photoshoots took place at two of my favorite local spots for maternity photos too, so I'm happy to suggest some beautiful location ideas for your maternity photos in and around the Pottstown area based on the kinds of settings you love.
What should i wear for my maternity photoshoot?
Maternity photos are once-in-a-lifetime memories that will always hold a special place alongside your wedding & newborn photos in your heart and in your home. This is one of those moments to wear something special, and there’s nothing more flattering than a long, flowy dress. Dresses tend to look most stunning in pictures because they really highlight the gorgeous glow of an expecting mother.
I recommend choosing a long, flowy maxi dress for maternity photos because they’re flattering, bring extra movement and dimension to your photos, add a bit of romance to walking shots, and look especially gorgeous against natural backdrops like greenery, fields, and flowers.

how long will it take to receive our photos?
The entire editing process--from the date of your maternity photoshoot to when you receive your final pictures--is about 4 weeks. Your proofing gallery will be ready for you to select your favorite pictures within 2 weeks after your maternity photoshoot. Then once you pick out your favorite photos, I'll complete the final editing process within 2 weeks and send you the link to your private final image gallery where you can view and download the full resolution files of your photos.

- A pre-session consultation to try on maternity dresses in my Client Closet, share ideas, choose a date/location for your photos, discuss tips to help you prepare for your photoshoot, and answer any questions you may have
- Access to my Client Closet of beautiful, bump-friendly maternity dresses
- My Style Guide with tips & even more maternity dress ideas to help you look and feel your best for your photos
- Your 45 minute maternity photoshoot
- Custom editing of your pictures
- Travel up to 20 miles (40 miles round trip) from my home in Pottstown, PA
- 20 high-resolution digital photos selected from a proofing gallery, delivered in both color and black & white (40 image files in total)
- A print release for personal use so you can print your pictures at any printing company you choose
How do i book my maternity photoshoot?
I'm so excited to capture some beautiful memories with you and your growing family! Please email me at kristinbrockmanphotography@gmail.com to reserve your maternity photoshoot. For new clients, I'll send you a short questionnaire to gather your family's basic info. Then I'll send you my Style Guide and we'll schedule a time for you to try on dresses from my Client Closet to help you find the perfect dress for your maternity photos. I'll also share some of my favorite locations for maternity photos in and around the Pottstown area so we can pick a beautiful spot for maternity photography. Once we've selected a date and location for our photoshoot, I'll email you a contract and invoice so you can easily sign and submit your retainer payment online. Then comes the hardest part...eagerly counting down the days to your maternity photoshoot!
