A Warm & Colorful Greenhouse Family Photoshoot
When the temperatures drop and the world outside turns cold and gray, a greenhouse family photoshoot offers the perfect escape. I just love the lush, vibrant atmosphere of this beautiful greenhouse in Schwenksville, PA, and it served as the perfect setting for my recent photoshoot with this sweet family of four. I’ve had the pleasure of working with this family for many years now, documenting their newborn and maternity photos and many other important milestones as their kiddos grow. It truly is such an honor when families come back again, year after year, and I always look forward to our fun times together!
Mom initially reached out to book a photoshoot in the fall, but with their busy work and nap schedules, it was tough for us to find a time to connect. It’s easy to say to yourself, “Oh we’ll do family photos next year” when life gets busy. But it was really important to mom to capture these memories because her kids were growing up so fast right before her eyes. With no need to wait for warmer months ahead or worry about the weather, doing our photoshoot at the greenhouse was the perfect choice!
Fun for the Whole Family
A greenhouse isn’t just a beautiful place for photos—it’s an experience. I’ve done multiple photoshoots with this family at Longwood Gardens in the past because they love gardening and flowers and going on adventures with their kids. The interactive nature of the greenhouse lends itself so well to capturing candid moments of laughter and wonder, which is what makes my heart sing as a photographer.

The young siblings were an absolute joy to photograph. Their playful energy and close bond were evident in every frame. Whether they were holding hands, sharing giggles, or exploring the greenhouse’s wonders together, their natural connection brought a sense of authenticity and joy to the session. Moments like these remind us of the simple beauty of childhood.

The greenhouse’s soft, diffused light is a photographer’s dream. It highlighted the family’s natural expressions and the vibrant greenery surrounding them. The interplay of light and shadow added depth and texture to the images, making each one feel timeless and alive.
