I’m thrilled and honored to announce that I’ve been awarded the Master Baby & Toddler Photographer Certification by the NAPCP!

NAPCP Master Photographer Certification

The National Association of Portrait and Child Photographers, or NAPCP, is an association whose mission is to promote and support the artistry and integrity of professional portrait and child photographers. As described on the NAPCP website, “Unlike our photography competitions, Master Photographer Certification is not about having images that are “Best in Show”. Baby photography certification verifies that you are a master of your craft, that you have consistent work, and that parents and businesses that hire you know what to expect. Master Photographers get the job done and get it done right. We know that’s worth a round of applause!”

My Portfolio

Recently I submitted a portfolio of 25 images that I felt represents my work as a baby & toddler photographer. I was required to include at least 10 images of babies (age 12 weeks – 1 year old), at least 10 images of toddlers (age 12 months – 4 years), and 5 of my choice (including a maximum of 3 images with parents or siblings included). Each image in my portfolio had to be diverse in nature with different scenes, subjects, poses, and expressions for each image. The objective was to demonstrate my skill and style as an artist, exhibiting mastery of the specific niche of baby/toddler photography in a variety of different settings and situations.

The Judges’ Feedback

“Your editing style is consistent across the portfolio which is challenging when you do both studio and outdoor work so congrats! Your skin tones are just beautiful both outdoor and in studio and that lends to your overall style as an artist. And I loved all the expressions and moments – you have a great eye for those and clients would certainly want to hire you for those with their family. Congrats!”
