First Birthday Photos | Studio Milestone Session | Pottstown, PA

First birthday photos are quickly becoming a favorite for me! It’s such a special time for families when their little one makes that huge leap from being a baby to the new adventures of toddlerhood. And there’s no better way to celebrate and remember these special moments than with photos! I’m so excited to share some of my favorite moments from sweet little Norah’s first birthday photos 🙂

Norah’s 1st Birthday Photos

While I’ve done family photos with this sweet family in the past, this was actually my first time meeting their newest addition, Norah. And what an adorable little love she is!

Mom and Dad brought Norah’s favorite toy – her bunny rocker – along with them to my Natural Light Studio to remember all the special times she and bunny have shared together over the past year. And truth be told, I’ve been thinking about adding a rocker to my studio’s Client Closet ever since!

Natural Baby Photos

My milestone sessions are all about movement and fun and laughter. So while I don’t focus on prop photography, I love anything that encourages real, authentic moments. And there’s nothing more beautiful than the genuine laugh of a little one playing and having fun. Throughout her first birthday photos, Norah explored my studio to the fullest. She had fun rocking her bunny, playing peek-a-boo with the curtains, and climbing on and off the bed again and again and again. And of course Daddy was there to save the day when she tried to dive off the bed at full speed. Suffice it to say that little Norah has inspired me. Only time will tell, but maybe a bunny rocker will soon be become part of the fun when little ones visit my studio for first birthday photos 🙂

Outfit Ideas for Baby & Toddler Milestone Photos

We definitely put my Client Closet to full use with Norah’s first birthday photos. And I don’t think she could have possibly looked any more adorable. We started off in a special dress that mom brought for Norah.

Then mom picked a cute cream romper with lacy details from my Client Closet for Norah’s second outfit.

And we ended with a soft pink knit romper from my Client Closet to round out Norah’s first birthday photos. Norah looked so adorable in all three outfits that I don’t think I could pick a favorite if I tried!
