Collegeville Maternity Photographer

Being a Collegeville maternity photographer is such a fun job! I’m absolutely loving all the winter maternity sessions this year. And I’m so excited to share a few of my favorites from this warm and colorful winter greenhouse session!

When mom reached out to schedule a maternity session for their growing family, we knew we were looking at a late winter session date. I recommend doing maternity photos between 28-34 weeks along. In this case, we scheduled our session when mom was 31 weeks along, and she looked absolutely STUNNING!!

Greenhouse Maternity Session

As a Collegeville maternity photographer, moms often ask me about the best spots for photos. I was over the moon when this mama picked Ott’s Exotic Plants from the ideas I sent her! It’s one of my favorite spots for winter maternity photos. Waiting until the weather warms up and the spring flowers start to bloom for photos isn’t always an option. But a greenhouse maternity session is perfect for moms who love a colorful backdrop even in the middle of winter. And avoiding the freezing cold in favor of keeping little Gio warm and comfortable paid off with huge smiles!

Maternity Photos with Young Kids

As a maternity photographer who specializes in working with families with young kids, my sessions always includes lots of movement and games and laughter. And big brother-to-be Gio was up for everything! He was full of hugs and kisses for his mama and new baby sister.

Gio loved to swing and run and march and explore the greenhouse…

When we tried to do a photo with just mom and dad, Gio didn’t want to be left out and ran in for a hug! Real, authentic moments like this can’t be scripted. So I just followed Gio’s lead and captured the moment as it happened. I bet Gio’s hugs melt his mom and dad’s hearts every single day!

But we did manage to sneak in a few shots of just mom and dad, though! Many parents don’t get opportunities for a beautiful picture of just the two of them very often. That’s why this is a priority for me at every session. This beautiful family you’re creating together all starts with the love you two share!

Gio was having so much fun, he didn’t want to leave when our session time came to an end. That’s always the best compliment for me as a family maternity photographer!
