Doing newborn photography is the best job there is! There’s something unforgettable about welcoming a new baby into the family. And baby boy Rhys’s newborn photoshoot was filled with all the tender, joy-filled moments that make these sessions so meaningful. I welcomed Rhys into my natural light studio when he was just 10 days earthside, and what a cutie! He was joined by his mom, dad, and proud big sister, Saylor, who could hardly contain her excitement about her new baby brother!
I know just how hard it can be for new moms to find high quality newborn outfits in those tiny preemie and newborn sizes that babies outgrow so quickly, and that’s why I started building my Client Closet many years ago. Rhys’s mom took full advantage of my collection. Whether he was wearing my long sleeve knit romper, wrapped up in my fuzzy white swaddle blanket, cuddling in my linen overalls, or napping in my sweet knit bloomers, Rhys looked absolutely adorable in all of them!
Rhys loved soaking in all the sweet snuggles with his family. But big sister Saylor turned out to be the sweetest snuggler of all! She couldn’t get enough cuddles, kisses, and chances to hold her baby brother. Every time she wrapped her arms around him or leaned in to give him a soft kiss on his head, Rhys relaxed even more, as if he already knew he had the best big sister watching over him.
Lifestyle newborn photography is truly at its best when everyone simply settles in and loves on their baby, and this family did exactly that. Welcome to the world, Rhys! I feel so grateful that you placed your trust in me to capture this next chapter in your growing family’s story, and I can only imagine how much joy it will bring you to watch Saylor and Rhys grow up together!
