Natural newborn photography will always have my heart! The sweet cuddles with mommy and daddy, bright-eyed expressions, teeny tiny toes, and that incredible hair…little Eoin stole the show at his in home newborn photoshoot. It was an unseasonably warm day in November for our newborn session, so even with the windows open to try to cool off a bit we had to improvise and abandon the cute sweaters and knit hat that were in the plans. But as adorable as tiny preemie outfits are, I think natural newborn skin will always be one of my favorite looks for newborn photos.
Whoever says a newborn needs to be asleep for amazing newborn pictures? We got a few sleepy snuggles and ended with some milk drunk newborn bliss, but this little guy was awake and alert for most of the session and I LOVE it. At four weeks old, he was so bright-eyed and expressive. I think this is what draws many families to choose me as their newborn photographer because I don’t try to make babies fall asleep or pose them with props. I love capturing babies in a way that feels natural and genuine so you can remember your baby boy just as he was in those teeny tiny newborn days. And those bright eyes, exploring the world with wonder–for me there’s something so magical when a baby is wide awake and connecting with his new family. Welcome to the world, sweet Eoin! You are so loved 🙂
