In home newborn photography will always hold a special place in my heart! There’s nothing else in this world like welcoming a new baby into your family. Those first few weeks with your newborn are a whirlwind of emotions, sleepless nights, and endless cuddles. It’s a time when every little gesture, every tiny smile, and every peaceful nap feels like a miracle. And what better way to treasure these fleeting moments than freezing these moments on camera in the comfort of your own home?
Meet the Star of Our Show: Baby Kennedy
I had the pleasure of capturing sweet little Kennedy at 3 weeks old in her home in Gilbertsville, PA. I last saw mom and dad at their maternity photoshoot. They were so full of excitement and eager anticipation to meet their baby girl. But our in home newborn session was even sweeter with Kennedy snuggled in their arms!
As a natural light photographer, my in home newborn sessions are captured wherever the lighting happens to be best in the home. Truly, all we need to capture beautiful memories is one good window and lots of love! But I’ll admit that I do a little happy dance when I arrive at a family’s home and discover a nursery with beautiful lighting like Kennedy’s. I absolutely adore the nursery that mom created for Kennedy! So of course we spent the beginning of our session cuddling in front of Kennedy’s crib. Then we moved over to a guest bedroom for some snuggles on the bed. Her big brother puppy Finn could hardly contain his excitement to join in on the family photos. Including fur babies is something I love about in home newborn photography because the whole family is there to shower the new baby with love. Little Miss Kennedy’s favorite place to be was in her mommy and daddy’s arms. But we managed to squeeze in some individual pictures of Kennedy in the cozy nook I bring along with me to every in home newborn photography session. And we finished our session tucked in next to a window for some of those close up shots I love as Kennedy snuggled in on mom and dad’s chest for a nap.
In home newborn photography is all about capturing genuine expressions and moments of connection. We captured soft kisses on Kennedy’s forehead, cuddles on the bed with her big brother puppy, and peaceful moments as Kennedy snuggled up against mom’s and dad’s chest for a nap. Every photo is a gift I know this new family of three will treasure forever. Welcome to the world, sweet Kennedy Ann! You are so loved!
