Family Newborn Photoshoot | Studio Newborn Session | Pottstown, PA
There is something so incredibly special about doing a family newborn photoshoot with a returning family when they welcome a new baby! When sweet baby Alara came into my natural light studio for her newborn session at 3.5 weeks old, it felt like such a full-circle moment. I still remember photographing her big sister Jade when she was just a tiny newborn. And now Jade has stepped beautifully into her new role as proud big sister.
A Soft & Simple Newborn Session for Baby Alara
At 3.5 weeks old, Alara was absolutely precious. She wore a soft, long sleeve knit romper from my Client Closet that suited her perfectly. The delicate texture and neutral tone photographed so beautifully in the natural light pouring into the studio, keeping the focus right where it belongs — on her sweet features and tiny details.
Part way through the session, when she started to get extra cozy, we wrapped her in one of my floral swaddle blankets from the Client Closet. The soft florals added just the right touch of gentle color while still maintaining that soft, timeless feel I love so much. Swaddling is always such a lovely way to help babies settle in, and Alara looked so content all bundled up.
Proud Big Sister Jade
One of my favorite parts of any family newborn session is watching siblings interact with their new baby. Jade absolutely adored her little sister. She was so gentle, so proud, and so eager to give Alara cuddles and kisses.
Because I photographed Jade as a newborn, seeing her in this new role was especially meaningful. There’s something incredibly emotional about comparing those tiny newborn images of Jade to the sweet big sister she has become. These are the moments that remind me why I do what I do — preserving milestones not just once, but throughout a family’s journey.
We captured so many beautiful combinations: both girls together, each parent snuggling Alara, and the whole family wrapped up in love. The connection between them was effortless and genuine — no stiff posing, just natural moments unfolding in the soft studio light.
The Honor of Growing With Your Family
When families return to me as their story continues, it is the greatest compliment. Being trusted to document first babies, then siblings, and all the in-between moments is something I never take lightly.
Alara’s newborn session was filled with warmth, tenderness, and so much love. From Jade’s proud big sister cuddles to her parents’ quiet, adoring glance, every detail came together to create timeless and heartfelt memories.
