Family-Centered Moments
Family newborn photos are extra special when I get to follow a family’s journey and watch them grow over the years. I last saw this sweet family when they had their son, Shayne. And now I got to welcome them back into my natural light studio with their new baby Emma when she was just two weeks fresh in this world. One of the things I love most about newborn sessions is how they aren’t just about the baby. Sure, Emma stole the show with her little yawns, adorable expressions, and delicate features, but what made this session truly magical was the love that surrounded her. Emma’s mom, dad, big sister Adeline, and big brother Shayne all played an essential role in making this session a beautiful family-centered experience.
Sibling Love
There’s something so heartwarming about seeing older siblings embrace their new role as big brothers and sisters. Big sister Adeline was so gentle with Emma, leaning in to kiss her, wrapping her arms around her little sister, and showing her the kind of love that only a big sister can give. I could tell that big brother Shayne was equally as excited about his new baby sister, as he would swoop in to give her a cuddle and a kiss throughout our session. I was able to capture so many wonderful moments of Adeline and Shayne, eager to welcome their new baby sister Emma into the family.
The Beauty of Natural Light
I always try to keep newborn photoshoots as simple and natural as possible, which is why I love working in my natural light studio. There’s nothing like the soft, airy feel of sunlight streaming through the windows, creating a peaceful, timeless look in the photos. Whether we were photographing Emma nestled in a cozy swaddle, captured in her parents’ arms, or surrounded by her siblings, the light brought everything to life in a beautiful way.
It was such a joy to photograph baby Emma and her wonderful family. Their love, excitement, and joy were so palpable, and I hope these images will serve as cherished memories for years to come. As a photographer, there’s nothing more fulfilling than capturing these first moments of a family’s journey, and I feel so lucky to have been able to do that for Emma and her family.
Thank you to Emma’s mom, dad, Adeline, and Shayne for allowing me to be a part of such a special time in your lives. I can’t wait to watch Emma grow up and see all the adventures she’ll have with her amazing family!
