A Beautiful Family Session with Baby Lucy
Doing baby pictures is a such special occasion for every growing family, and I felt so honored to capture those memories for baby Lucy and her sweet family during their recent session in my natural light studio. From the moment they walked in, you could feel the warmth and love this family shares.
Her proud big brother John and big sister Maeve were so sweet with her, eager to snuggle in and show their love. The family and sibling photos were some of my favorites — natural, full of joy, and already showing the bond they’re building with their new baby sister. I always love watching older siblings step into their new roles, and John and Maeve were absolutely beaming.

Of course, Lucy was the star of the show! She surprised her family by arriving about a month before her due date because she just couldn’t wait to come out and get the snuggles started. As is typical with babies who arrive early, even though she was over two weeks old at the time of our session she was still very much in that sleepy, curled up newborn stage. Even though she was awake for much of our session, she had her eyes closed most of the time and loved to curl her legs up close to her body and stretch her arms. I loved keeping things simple and timeless and focusing on all of her adorable movements and sweet expressions. I don’t think she could possibly be any cuter!
Thank you to Lucy and her family for spending the morning with me in the studio and allowing me to preserve this special chapter in your lives. I can only imagine how much joy it’s going to bring you to watch Lucy, Maeve, and John grow up together!
