Being a baby photographer is the best job in the world! I get to spend some of the most joyful moments with families when they welcome a new baby into their family. I’ve been itching to meet this sweet baby girl since our summer maternity session in the secret garden a few months ago. And after much eager anticipation, the day finally arrived!
Sweet baby Guinevere came to my natural light studio at 6 weeks old for her newborn photoshoot, joined by her loving parents and proud big sister, Aurora. At six weeks, babies are a little more alert and expressive, which makes for such a beautiful mix of cozy snuggles and those wide-eyed moments of connection that parents never want to forget.
From the moment they arrived, it was clear how much Aurora adores her baby sister. She couldn’t stop showering Guinevere with gentle kisses and giggles, and loved getting to hold her close for photos. I always love watching older siblings step into their new role — the pride and tenderness they show is so special.
We kept the session relaxed and natural, focusing on the sweet interactions between the family. I guided them into soft, light-filled spots around the studio, letting the moments unfold organically. Guinevere was happiest snuggled in her parents’ arms, and Aurora loved being right there with them, cuddling with her sister, giving her soft kisses, and helping soothe her whenever she cried.
Welcome to the world, sweet Gwen! I can only imagine how much joy it will bring your parents to watch both of their girls grow up together!
