Amay’s 1st Birthday Photoshoot — A Joyful Celebration
There’s something so special about being a 1st birthday photographer. First birthdays are a beautiful mix of curiosity, newness, and celebration. I had the absolute joy of photographing sweet Amay as he marked this milestone in my natural light studio, and I can’t wait to share a glimpse of this playful, love-filled session with you today!
From the moment Amay arrived, his eyes lit up with wonder. With soft light spilling in through the windows and cozy textures all around, he quickly made himself at home. One of my favorite things about photographing little ones at this age is watching them explore, and Amay didn’t disappoint. He crawled all around my studio, playing with a little toy car, reading a book, and catching some snuggles with his Mommy and Daddy. His adorable expressions just kept on coming!
His parents were right there with him — laughing, encouraging, and snuggling in for sweet family shots. I always love when parents join in for milestone sessions. It’s a beautiful reminder that these early years are just as much about their journey as it is about the little one’s growth. The connection between them was so warm and genuine, making for photos full of joy and love.
Amay’s Adorable Cake Smash
We wrapped up our time together with the ultimate first birthday tradition: a cake smash! Amay wasn’t too sure at first — poking at the frosting, tilting his head as if to ask, “Is this really for me?” But once he realized it was all his, the fun began. He especially loved his birthday cake topper, playing with it and licking the icing off. With frosting-covered fingers and cheeks, Amay put on a show for us as he made an adorably delicious mess. He definitely made us all smile until our cheeks hurt!
Happy 1st birthday, Amay! Thank you for filling my studio with so much joy, and to your parents for trusting me to capture these memories.
