Valley Forge is one of the first spots I recommend for maternity photos. And for good reason! The sweeping valley views, golden grasses, and colorful leaves in the fall give this spot a little something extra special. And then once in a while you have one of those magical sunsets like none other. MAGICAL is the only way to describe the way the stars aligned for my maternity photoshoot in Valley Forge with this sweet couple.

Some wet and dreary weather made us decide to bump our photoshoot back a bit in pursuit of beautiful sunshine. BEST. DECISION. EVER! We were rewarded with what can only be described as the perfect fall sunset. We started off our photos with a few quick archway shots. The beautiful stone archways provide such beautiful framing for maternity photos. Then we found an area of trees with vibrant orange and yellow leaves, hanging onto their colors into the late fall. And finally we went on a little adventure through the long golden grasses with the the most stunning sunset on display in the sky. These warm, romantic, and flowy golden grasses make late fall photo sessions in Valley Forge so amazing!

And thanks to the help of dad’s sister who came along to help out with the puppy, we got some sweet shots of the whole family along the way. Our time together in Valley Forge was incredible. But I think our in home newborn session will be even sweeter with their new baby girl snuggled in their arms.
