Newborn Photos with Parents & Baby
Doing newborn photos with parents and their new baby is always a treat for me. And today, I’m thrilled to share some highlights of a heartwarming newborn photoshoot featuring adorable Baby Riley, captured in my Natural Light Studio when she was 10 days old.
As Baby Riley’s parents stepped into the studio, their faces were full of excitement and joy. It’s always a privilege to witness the adoration that parents have for their newborn, and their love was evident every time they looked at their precious baby girl.
One of the key aspects of photographing newborns with their parents is creating a relaxed and comfortable environment. I always strive to make the session as stress-free as possible for the new parents, understanding that they may be sleep-deprived and adjusting to their new roles. By providing gentle guidance and allowing them to interact naturally with baby Riley, I was able to capture so many authentic moments for this sweet new family of three.
Choosing Outfits for Riley’s Newborn Photos
Incorporating a pattern is one beautiful way to make your newborn photos really pop. As we were preparing for Riley’s newborn photos, I sent mom my Style Guide with lots of tips on choosing outfits to prepare for our session. And one of my biggest tips and moms begin to plan out their outfits for their baby’s newborn photos is to choose mom’s outfit first. Mom took my advice and selected a dress with a floral pattern for herself and a solid knit sweater for dad. Then, she chose a beautiful textured newborn romper and a fuzzy white swaddle wrap for baby Riley from my Client Closet to tie the look together. The beautiful contrast of mom’s floral dress and solid neutral colors, combined with soft textures to add depth, gives the images a bright and classic feel!
