I’m so excited to share some of my favorite moments from Townes’s sweet Philadelphia in home newborn photos! Mom reached out to me just after Townes was born, but one of the benefits of doing natural newborn photos is that babies don’t need to be asleep to create beautiful memories. We did Townes’s newborn photos when he was a little over a month old, and his expressions when he locked eyes with his mommy and daddy just melted my heart. Many newborn photographers insist on scheduling their photoshoots in the first couple weeks after the baby is born, but take one look through Townes’s pictures and you’ll see why many of the families who hire me trust my recommendation to schedule for around 3-5 weeks old. Those bright open eyes, exploring everything and everyone around him with wonder. The way he lights up when he plays peek-a-boo with daddy. The sigh of contentment when he snuggles into mommy’s chest. This sweet little guy just can’t get enough of his mommy and daddy! And I can’t get enough of him!

Townes may be their first baby, but I think this family would more accurately be described as a new family of four. Big sister Ruthie is a puppy, but she has already welcomed Townes into her pack. The princess has welcomed a new prince into the family, and she’s ready to show him the ropes and give him lots of kisses along the way.

Thank you so much for inviting me into your home to bear witness to the beginning of the next and greatest chapter of your lives as a family. I watched you treasure your baby boy with every fiber of your being, and it’s such an honor for me to be able to reflect that joy back to you. He is perfect, as you already know of course! Welcome to the world, sweet Townes. You are so loved!
