Smiles, Snuggles & Sweet Messes

First birthday photography brings such joy to my heart! There’s something so special about a baby’s first birthday. There are so many emotions, sweet milestones, and endless adorable expressions. Clara’s session in my natural light studio was no exception! From the moment she arrived, her bright eyes and infectious smile lit up the space.

We started the session with plenty of playtime and exploration. Clara was full of curiosity, and I loved watching her crawl around and explore my studio. And of course no first birthday session would be complete without a few snuggles! Clara’s mommy and daddy joined in for some tender family moments, wrapping their little girl in love and creating memories they’ll cherish forever.

Clara’s Cake Smash & Splash

Then came Clara’s cake smash! She wasted no time diving into her cake, giggling as she smeared frosting on her tiny fingers and cheeks. It was pure, messy perfection! There’s nothing quite like the joy of a little one experiencing a sweet treat for the first time, and Clara’s smiles were absolutely contagious. Then to wrap up the session, Clara took a quick splash in my little bathtub. It was a perfect way to clean up and capture a few more precious moments to celebrate Clara’s big day.

It’s always such an honor for me when parents continue to place their trust in me and return to capture more memories together as their little one grows. Seeing how much Clara has grown this past year since I last saw her at her newborn session was such a fun treat for me. Her first birthday photoshoot was filled with love, laughter, and a whole lot of cuteness. I’m so glad I was able to capture this special milestone and know you’ll look back on these moments and treasure them for many years to come.

Happy birthday, sweet Clara! I bet you make your parents smile until their cheeks hurt every single day!
