First Birthday Photographer | Studio Milestone Session | Pottstown, PA

Being a first birthday photographer is the BEST! Today, I’m excited to share some highlights from Carter’s first birthday cake smash and splash photoshoot in my natural light studio. It was a joyful day filled with laughter, cake, and a whole lot of splashing!

From the moment Carter and his parents arrived, the atmosphere was buzzing with excitement. The natural light streaming in from my wall of floor to ceiling windows created the perfect setting to let Carter explore and capture these precious memories.

The Cake Smash

Carter was all smiles as he got ready to dive into his birthday cake. The look of curiosity on his face as he reached out to touch the cake was priceless!

As he dove into the frosting, his parents couldn’t wipe the smiles off their faces as they watched their little boy go to town. I made sure to capture every moment and every adorable expression as he made a delicious mess. By the end of our smash, Carter’s hands and cheeks were covered in frosting and he was definitely read to wash off with a little splash in the tub!

The Splash

After the cake smash, it was time for the splash! I set up my mini bath tub filled with warm water and bubbles—perfect for some post-cake fun. Carter LOVED the water, splashing and giggling to his heart’s content. All of the little water droplets catching the light and the joy on Carter’s face were simply magical. I know his parents will treasure this milestone forever as we watched Carter make the leap from baby to toddler right before our eyes.

I feel incredibly grateful to have been a part of celebrating Carter’s first birthday, capturing these adorable photos that his family will cherish forever!
