Being a Collegeville newborn photographer fills me with so much joy and wonder! Time and time again, families welcome me into their home and place their trust in me to capture some of their earliest and most precious memories with their babies. And today I’m excited to share some of my favorite moments from sweet little Charlotte’s newborn session!
At 4 weeks fresh in this world, Charlotte was absolute perfection for her newborn photos! I absolutely loved all the sweet expressions and little moments of connection we captured with Charlotte nestled into her parents’ arms. To say Charlotte loves to snuggle would be a huge understatement!
Mom saw this textured knit romper in my portfolio and asked me to bring it along with me from my Client Closet for Charlotte’s newborn photos. Paired with a cute bow mom picked out for her, Charlotte looked absolutely adorable!
Whether we’re in my Natural Light Studio in or in your home, I love taking backlit photos during every newborn session. That’s why I bring a sheer curtain along with me to every in home newborn session so we can take beautiful shots like this in front of a big window in your home. I especially love backlit images like the ones you see below in black & white. The dramatic shadows and highlights capture the emotion of the moment so powerfully. Mom and dad’s expressions as they gaze down at their baby girl with adoration are so beautiful!
Big sister Lilly may be a puppy, but she was eager to get involved in the family photos too! One of my favorite things about doing in home newborn photos is how pets can join in on the snuggles as well.
