Sophie’s Cake Smash & Splash
Sophie recently came to my natural light studio for her 1st birthday cake smash photoshoot, and it was such a joy to capture this special milestone for her and her family! I couldn’t believe how much Sophie has grown us since I last saw her a year ago for her newborn photos. And her smile absolutely stole the show!
Sophie’s parents picked out the cutest cake with rainbow sprinkles for her, and she wasted no time digging in. There were giggles, frosting-covered fingers, and a few delighted squeals as she realized just how fun and delicious cake is! These candid, joy-filled moments are always my favorite to capture!
We cleaned up Sophie’s adorably delicious mess with a splash in my little bathtub. Sophie loved splashing, kicking her feet, and playing with the bubbles. It was the perfect way to end her first birthday photoshoot — happy, relaxed, and full of smiles.

Sophie absolutely loved exploring my studio, playing peek-a-boo with the curtains, and showing off her adorable expressions as her mom, dad, and adoring aunt cheered her on. Sophie couldn’t get enough snuggles and soaked in every hug and tickle with a huge smile on her face!
These cake smash & splash sessions are always such a fun and memorable way to celebrate your little one’s 1st birthday! I’m so glad I got to capture Sophie’s playful spirit and all the love her parents have for their sweet girl. Happy 1st birthday, Sophie! You are so loved!
