Sweet Little Birdie’s Newborn Photoshoot
Newborn lifestyle photos are truly such a gift for any growing family. There is something so incredibly special about welcoming a brand new baby. And sweet baby girl Birdie’s newborn session was full of all the heart-melting moments that make these fleeting newborn days unforgettable. Birdie and her family joined me in my natural light studio for her newborn photoshoot when she was 4 weeks old, and from the moment she arrived, she completely stole the show!
Three Adorable Looks from My Client Closet
One of my favorite parts of newborn sessions is styling baby in timeless, cozy pieces that photograph beautifully while keeping them comfortable. Birdie wore three different knit rompers from my Client Closet, and each one was just as precious as the next. The soft textures and neutral tones kept the focus right where it belongs — on her tiny features and expressions. From wide-eyed curiosity to the sweetest sleepy stretches, Birdie truly put on a show. Capturing babies wide-eyed wonder as they look around the room and explore the world around them is always such a joy!
A Beautiful Dress for Mom
Birdie’s mom also borrowed one of my studio dresses, which complemented the soft neutrals look she had her heart set on just perfectly. I always love when moms take advantage of the Client Closet. It removes the stress of outfit planning and ensures everything coordinates effortlessly.
Sweet Snuggles with the Whole Family
Birdie was surrounded by so much love during her session. She soaked in cuddles from Mommy and Daddy, and it was especially heartwarming to see her big brother Baker step into his new role.
Baker was so gentle and proud. He loved sitting close to his baby sister, giving her kisses, and wrapping his arms around her. Watching siblings interact during newborn sessions is always one of my favorite parts. These early connections are so special, and preserving them in photographs becomes even more meaningful as the years go by.
It’s pretty obvious that Birdie is already a little Daddy’s girl. She has totally stolen his heart! And the images of Birdie snuggled up to her mom are pure magic. There’s something so powerful about those early days — the way parent instinctively holds her newborn close, the quiet smiles, the gentle forehead kisses. These are the moments families treasure forever.
Sweet Birdie, you are already so deeply loved. It was such an honor to document these precious memories for your family. I hope I get to see you again down the road and watch you grow! 💕
